Bracknell Summer Parks Challenge! ☀️
involve Community Services are delighted to have been chosen as Councillor Michael Titheridge, Bracknell Town Mayor’s, Charity of the Year. To celebrate this, we have worked together to create a fun summer challenge for children and families to participate in over the summer…
Did you know there are 34 green spaces across the Bracknell Town area? Many of these green spaces have playgrounds, free car parking and some have other interesting and handy facilities, including duck ponds, picnic areas, and community centres and offices. There are also often fun events and fayres that occur in the parks throughout the year, however, due to COVID-19, the usual Summer of Fun events have had to be cancelled. Don’t worry though, because we have put together an exciting new Summer Parks Challenge for everyone in and around Bracknell to enjoy instead!
Your challenge is to visit each green space with your printed off Challenge Map, and find an A3 poster that will be displayed in the park somewhere. You must use the answers on these posters to fill in the relevant gaps on the worksheet. Challenge Maps can also be collected from the involve offices, Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm.
You have all summer to visit each green space, so it doesn’t need to be completed in a day. The parks are all numbered on the worksheet and are set out on the map. Find the park, find the poster and solve the clues! You’ll uncover lots of history about Bracknell Forest along the way.
You can walk or cycle (or drive) to each of the green spaces and once you have visited them all and have completed your worksheet you can hand/send them in to either Bracknell Town Council or involve Community Services or photograph the completed worksheet and email it to: email@example.com
Completed worksheets with all the right answers will be entered into a prize draw. The closing date for worksheets to be submitted is Friday 11th September.
Good luck, and have fun everyone!
Please note – Posters have been displayed in all the parks across the Town, I’m afraid we can’t take any responsibility for any that get removed or damaged. If you do find one however that has been removed or damaged – please notify us via the above email stating which park is missing a poster. Thank you.
