The Volunteer Passport scheme has been set up to link volunteers and organisations in Bracknell Forest, skill up existing and new volunteers and establish a volunteering standard across the borough.
As a passport holder you will enjoy many benefits, the main one being you will be able to carry any training you do as a volunteer from placement to placement without having to repeat the same course over and over again.
You will also gain unique access to information about relevant training opportunities in Bracknell Forest.
You will have your own ‘passport’ id/skills portfolio to show you are part of the scheme and are a volunteer actively upping your skills – a great asset as you move forward with your volunteering or future career path.
Why Get a Volunteer Passport?
- It demonstrates you have the basic skills needed to volunteer.
- It stops you having to repeat training courses and it saves vital money for the organisation you are volunteering for.
- You will become part of a group of around 100 volunteers working to make our area a better place.
- A Volunteer Passport can help give you confidence and open doors.

What happens once I have got my Volunteer Passport?
Your details will be entered onto the involve community services Volunteer Passport scheme and a record of your current training will be taken. Your details will not be shared with any third party other than an organisation you have applied to volunteer for.
If you are not already a volunteer we can help you to find an opportunity to suit your skills and interests. If you are interested in taking your training further we can also help you gain the qualifications you need.
Do I need a DBS check?
Certain volunteer positions will require you to undertake a DBS check. If you are applying for a passport in connection with one of these positions your volunteer passport will not be issued until you have met this criteria.
