Grants from the Albert Hunt Trust are available to UK registered charities for projects that promote and enhance physical and mental welfare, including for hospice appeals and homeless appeals.


Charitable organisations in the UK are eligible to apply.

What For?

The funding is for charitable work in the following areas:
• Hospice appeals
• Homeless appeals
• Health and wellbeing appeals

Funding is not available for the following:
• Overseas projects.
• Research.

The Trust does not maintain a website nor does it have a formal application form.

Charitable organisations are asked to submit appeals to the Trustees by letter containing the following:
• Aims and objectives of the charity.
• Nature of the appeal.
• Total target if for a specific project.
• Contributions received against target.
• Registered charity number.
• Any other relevant factors.

How Much?

The Trust awarded around £1,775,000 in grants last year. Although most grants are for between £1,000 and £5,000, grants for higher amounts are awarded.


Applications can be submitted at any time and will be considered on a ‘regular’ basis.
